Privacy Policy

How JMNET handles account, Journey Plus, support, and service-operation information.

Last updated: September 7, 2026

Scope

This policy covers JMNET public services and Journey Plus. Journey Plus is a planning workspace for organizing Japan-related tasks, timelines, budgets, and official-source review state.

Information We Process

  • Account and authentication information, such as email address, sign-in/session information, and preferred language.
  • Journey user state, such as Journey enrollment, planning details, task progress, Timeline items, Budget items, Official Source review state, and user notes.
  • Technical and security information reasonably needed to operate, secure, debug, and protect the service.
  • Support information that you choose to send to JMNET.

Sensitive Information

Journey Plus is not designed to store passport numbers, residence-card numbers, bank credentials, passwords, or document scans. Do not put highly sensitive identity credentials or private document scans into Journey notes, Timeline notes, Budget notes, or Official Source notes.

Purposes

  • Authenticate accounts and maintain sessions.
  • Deliver Journey Plus features and synchronize user planning state across visits.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Operate the product, prevent abuse, and protect service security.

Service Providers

JMNET uses Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure. JMNET uses Brevo for authentication and transactional email. These providers process information needed for the services they provide to JMNET.

Account and Data Requests

Journey Plus provides self-service deletion for Journey Plus planning data stored in the application database. Full authentication-account deletion remains support-handled until the dedicated administrative deletion workflow is added. For account, data, or privacy questions, contact support@jmnet.tokyo.

Updates

JMNET may update this policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date on this page will identify the current version.
